Taxi Driver Attacked With Machete and Hammer in Trafford
A taxi driver was reportedly attacked with a machete and hammer after being called for a pickup to a house in Trafford Manchester. The Police told that two people have been arrested following the incident in Trafford.
According to the police, the taxi was called to a place on Irlam Road by one of an offender. When the driver knocked on the door, the offenders started to assault the driver with weapons.
The driver is having a lot of injuries but fortunately, none of them is life-threatening. Also, the offenders robbed £100 from the driver before running off.
Officers told how the taxi driver was called to an address on Irlam Road where the offenders opened the front doors and began to attack the driver with weapons. The vehicle was also found damaged.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police announced in a social media post that they have arrested two offenders who are in connection with the assault and robbery on a taxi driver on Irlam Road. The taxi driver was called to pick up the offenders where they attacked him with the machete and hammer.
The police officials have matched and confirmed the voice of the offender who called to book the taxi. None of the offenders belong to the Trafford area.
